Newsairy 1.17 is here, and Custom Smart Feeds gain a second, opposite list.

Mute keywords hide matching articles instead of collecting them — mute always wins over include. Leave the include list empty and fill only mute, and the feed becomes “everything except this.” Existing Smart Feeds are unaffected. The sheet is now split into Include and Mute sections, with a “Create” button in place of “Add.”

A few smaller things came along for the ride. The article list column has a real minimum width now, so it no longer gets clipped on an iPad mini — the bottom toolbar’s side buttons were being cut off — and the segmented filter above the list is narrower, no longer stretching to fill the space. A handful of icons got a refresh: Unread, All, the default avatar, and the empty-detail state. SVG favicons missing a viewBox now load correctly, and Feed Info adds a way to reload a feed’s favicon, for when it’s missing or out of date.
